George Square is the central square in Scotland's largest city, Glasgow. George Square is in the heart of Glasgow's cosmopolitan city centre. We have two web cams looking directly onto George Square from each side. Queen Street Railway station is shown in one of the webcam views and the City Chambers, home to Glasgow City Council, is featured in the other live webcam.
Enjoy viewing the beautiful architecture of Glasgow’s grand historic buildings. There are also many statues on George Square for Walter Scott, Queen Victoria, Prince Albert, poet Robert Burns, inventor James Watt, chemist Thomas Graham and politicians William Gladstone and Robert Peel
George Square has often been, and is still used as the scene for public meetings, political gatherings, protests, New Year celebrations, exhibitions and music concerts.

Im homesick. Want to be there for the bells :( But here I am in Iceland, sounds like a battle zone here but just fireworks. Oh how I would love to hear the sound of the boats on the Clyde tooting at midnight. My nephew is the manager of the ice rink at George Square. To him and all the rest of you a Happy New Year Scottish style :)

This is just as beautiful as anything here in the U.S. Thanks to those who made it possible for the world to see.
